Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 26, 2026

Welcome to SWFLSenior.com. By using this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Purpose of This Website

SWFLSenior.com is an informational website created to help seniors, families, caregivers, and community members learn more about senior living, housing options, local resources, consumer safety topics, and aging-related issues in Southwest Florida.

The information on this website is provided for general educational purposes only. It should not be considered legal, medical, financial, real estate, insurance, or professional advice.

2. No Professional Advice

Content on SWFLSenior.com is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

Before making decisions related to senior housing, healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, estate planning, finances, legal matters, insurance, or real estate, you should speak directly with the appropriate licensed professional.

3. Accuracy of Information

We work to provide helpful and accurate information, but we cannot guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

Senior living communities, service providers, government programs, rules, costs, availability, and policies may change at any time. Visitors should verify important details directly with the provider, agency, facility, or professional involved before making decisions.

4. Senior Living and Housing Information

SWFLSenior.com may publish information about 55+ communities, independent living options, senior housing, service providers, local programs, and related resources.

Any listing, article, mention, or directory entry is provided for informational purposes only. Inclusion on this website does not guarantee quality, safety, licensing status, availability, pricing, or suitability for any individual.

Users are responsible for doing their own research, asking questions, touring communities, reviewing contracts, checking licensing or inspection records where applicable, and seeking professional guidance before making housing or care decisions.

5. No Endorsement

Mentioning a business, community, organization, service provider, product, or third-party website does not automatically mean SWFLSenior.com endorses, recommends, guarantees, or has verified that provider.

We may share resources, public information, opinions, observations, or reader-focused guidance, but users should independently evaluate any company, facility, provider, or service before relying on it.

6. Third-Party Links

SWFLSenior.com may link to third-party websites for convenience or additional information.

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, policies, or actions of third-party websites. Visiting outside websites is done at your own discretion.

7. Directory Listings and Provider Information

If SWFLSenior.com includes directory listings, profiles, community pages, or provider information, those listings may be based on publicly available information, provider-submitted information, user suggestions, or editorial research.

We do not guarantee that directory information is complete, current, or accurate. Providers are responsible for notifying us of needed corrections.

8. Reader Comments and Submissions

If visitors submit comments, questions, stories, listing updates, reviews, or other content, they are responsible for what they submit.

By submitting content to SWFLSenior.com, you give us permission to review, edit, publish, refuse, or remove that content at our discretion.

We may remove content that is abusive, misleading, spammy, defamatory, inappropriate, promotional, or otherwise unsuitable for this website.

9. Sponsored Content, Advertising, or Partnerships

SWFLSenior.com may display advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, or paid placements in the future. When applicable, we aim to disclose sponsored or paid relationships clearly.

Advertising or sponsorship does not guarantee endorsement unless specifically stated.

10. Limitation of Liability

By using SWFLSenior.com, you agree that the website, its owners, writers, contributors, and affiliates are not responsible for any loss, damage, claim, decision, outcome, or expense that may result from using this website or relying on information found here.

Use of this website is at your own risk.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, the text, graphics, branding, layout, articles, and other original content on SWFLSenior.com are owned by SWFLSenior.com or its content creators.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute our content without written permission, except for brief excerpts with proper credit and a link back to the original page.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Contact

For questions, corrections, or concerns about these Terms and Conditions, please contact us through the contact form on SWFLSenior.com.

14. Facility Information, Public Records and Informational Use Disclaimer

The Senior Industry Watch Lookup Tool is provided by SWFL Senior for general informational, educational, and public-interest purposes. It is intended to make publicly available facility information easier to locate, review, and understand.

Public Information Sources

Facility information displayed through the Senior Industry Watch Lookup Tool is compiled and organized from public records published by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), including information available through FloridaHealthFinder and the AHCA Public Record Search.

Senior Industry Watch and SWFL Senior are independently operated and are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of AHCA, FloridaHealthFinder, the State of Florida, or any facility displayed through the tool.

Whenever possible, users are provided with a link to the applicable official source record. The original government record controls if information displayed on this website differs from the official source.

Accuracy, Updates and Technical Limitations

We use reasonable efforts to collect, process, organize, and display public information accurately. However, we do not warrant that facility information will always be complete, current, accurate, or free from technical, processing, transcription, matching, categorization, or display errors.

Public records may be amended, corrected, appealed, contested, replaced, removed, or updated after information has been imported into the tool. Delays may also occur between an update to an official government source and the appearance of that update on this website.

Automated imports and data-processing systems can occasionally associate information with an incorrect facility, license, owner, location, or reporting period. Facility name changes, ownership changes, license changes, similar facility names, incomplete source fields, and changes to government websites may also affect how information is displayed.

Users should review the linked AHCA or FloridaHealthFinder record before relying on information shown through the tool.

Interpretation of Complaints, Deficiencies and Legal Actions

A Statement of Deficiencies reflects findings reported by AHCA following an inspection or investigation. A facility or licensee may have an opportunity to dispute or contest those findings.

A complaint, allegation, lawsuit, investigation, citation, or pending administrative matter does not by itself establish wrongdoing unless the official record reflects a substantiated finding, final order, judgment, or other final disposition.

Final Orders may be subject to appeal. Emergency Orders may later be modified or lifted. Legal actions may have been issued against a previous facility owner or licensee and may not describe the current owner or operator.

Where the official source identifies a complaint as substantiated, unsubstantiated, pending, dismissed, settled, appealed, or otherwise resolved, Senior Industry Watch will make reasonable efforts to preserve that distinction.

The presence of a complaint, deficiency, sanction, or legal action should not be treated as a complete assessment of a facility’s current safety, quality, staffing, management, services, or suitability. The absence of a listed record should likewise not be interpreted as a guarantee regarding a facility’s quality, compliance, or performance.

Senior Industry Watch Summaries and Classifications

Senior Industry Watch may organize public records by category, topic, date, or severity to make the information easier to search and understand.

Unless expressly identified as an official AHCA designation, any summary, category, explanation, severity label, or organizational classification created by Senior Industry Watch is an informational aid and is not an official finding, rating, classification, or legal conclusion issued by AHCA or another government agency.

Summaries are provided for convenience and should be read together with the complete original document.

Neutral Presentation and Facility Evaluations

Senior Industry Watch does not independently declare a facility to be better, worse, safer, less safe, suitable, or unsuitable based solely on the records displayed through the tool.

Our purpose is to present publicly available information in a neutral, consistent, and source-based format so members of the public can conduct further research, ask informed questions, and make their own decisions.

The inclusion of a facility does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, accusation, condemnation, or determination regarding that facility.

Informational Use Only

Information provided through Senior Industry Watch is not legal, medical, financial, regulatory, investigative, placement, or professional advice.

Users remain responsible for conducting independent research, reviewing original records, visiting facilities, speaking directly with facility representatives, consulting appropriate professionals, and contacting the applicable government agency before making decisions involving housing, health care, long-term care, personal safety, finances, or legal rights.

Reporting a Data Discrepancy

Facility owners, administrators, authorized representatives, residents, family members, and members of the public may report a suspected discrepancy by contacting us through the phone number or email address listed on this website.

A discrepancy report should identify:

• The facility name and license number, when available
• The URL of the Senior Industry Watch facility page
• The specific information believed to be incorrect
• The corresponding AHCA, FloridaHealthFinder, court, or other official record
• Any supporting documentation relevant to the requested review

We will compare the information displayed on our website with the applicable official source. When the discrepancy results from a technical, transcription, matching, or display error on our website, we will make a reasonable effort to correct it.

We do not remove or alter accurately reproduced public-record information solely because a facility or another party disagrees with the underlying government record. A party that believes an official AHCA or FloridaHealthFinder record is incorrect should request a correction from AHCA. We may update our website after the correction or change appears in the official source.

Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SWFL Senior and Senior Industry Watch disclaim responsibility for decisions, actions, losses, damages, or consequences arising from reliance on information displayed through the tool, delays in receiving updated source information, temporary website unavailability, or inadvertent technical or data-processing errors.

Use of the Senior Industry Watch Lookup Tool constitutes acceptance of these limitations and the complete Terms of Use.
